Soy is talented but motor isn’t very high. Zero physical involvement during the game. Acceleration and edge work is excellent. Had two goals and four golden scoring chances, all of which resulted from his skating ability. No physical game.

Tyler Soy is an enigma, even in a single viewing. His first few shifts showed signs of life, got his goal, and then anytime he didn’t have the puck, was seemingly not in the mood to play in a hockey game. When he did have the puck, it was like someone flipped a switch and you had to hold onto your seat. Maddening to watch.
